Pittsfield, Michigan-A 77-acre solar project in Pittsfield, just outside Ann Arbor, is expected to lead local officials across the finish line to achieve one of their long-term goals: a city that operates entirely on green energy.

“It will be absolutely 100% from renewable energy,” the township director Mandy Grewal promised at a meeting in October to provide electricity to public buildings. On Wednesday, December 8, the township leaders brought this promise closer to reality.
