Maxeon Solar Technologies will release a new series of glass-free flexible silicon-based solar panels this summer, called Maxeon Air. These panels will first be used in the European market and then released globally in the first quarter of 2022.

Maxeon Air solar panels use Maxeon's IBC solar cells to move all busbar contacts to the back of the battery. The efficiency of a Maxeon Air panel is 20.9%. The flexible panel uses 90 solar cells, which is longer than traditional modules. The company lists these modules as 330 W on its website.
