New solar cell architecture can reduce silver costs and increase voltage – pv magazine International

A new manufacturing process developed by an American start-up company is said to reduce silver consumption and increase the performance of solar modules by up to 3 W. Voltage without physically damaging and rewiring the battery.

The proposed battery architecture requires a smaller silver contact area.

SolarInnovations, a start-up company based in Georgia, announced that its configurable current battery or C3 technology for solar cell manufacturing has obtained a patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
