Studio Marco Casali Design announced the concept of an ecologically-centric 56.7-meter superyacht with a retractable solar panel roof.

The concept is called VisionE and uses an aluminum hull, which was written by the studio in collaboration with Francesco Rogantin.

When talking about the design, the studio said: "VisionE is the first unit in a series of concepts we will show, designed to follow the requirements of sustainable lifestyles and yachts."

Design highlights include the aft deck, which can be used as a basketball court and as an outdoor cinema at night. There is a covered pool in the center of the multifunctional area, which can also be used as a bid storage room.

Below the solar panel roof is an open sun deck of 150 square meters with spa pool, open-air dining area and leisure space.

The retractable panels slide open to reveal additional sun lounger space, while on either side of the hull are four foldable sea level terraces.

The ecology-focused propulsion system of the concept car consists of a generator and a large battery pack powered by solar panels on the roof of the concept car. Another option the studio is weighing is to use hydrogen to power the concept. The concept car is powered by a hybrid system and has a top speed of 14 knots.

The seven cabins can accommodate a total of 14 guests and 12 crew members.
