Panasonic today released four new EverVolt solar modules and a redesigned EverVolt battery storage cabinet to the US market.

EverVolt solar panels use half-cut cells with heterojunction technology (HJT). The four new modules to be launched in the third quarter of 2021 include:

Compared with the previous EverVolt series announced in December 2020, these panels have increased by 10 watts.

When installed by Panasonic authorized, senior or elite installers and registered through the Panasonic website, the homeowner can obtain two warranties: Panasonic TripleGuard warranty covers the performance, product, parts and labor of the EverVolt panel for 25 years, and Panasonic AllGuard warranty covers replacement And labor to repair all major components in the EverVolt system. This warranty applies to Panasonic AC modules and covers the combination of solar modules and micro-inverters sold by Panasonic, with 25 years of approved shelf and 5 years of monitoring hardware. Modules installed by vendors other than the Panasonic installer only receive a 25-year performance and product warranty.

"Based on Panasonic's 40 years of commitment and investment in the solar industry, we are very pleased to provide homeowners with more choices when considering high-efficiency modules," said Mukesh Sethi, director of solar and energy storage, Panasonic Life Solutions, a US company, Panasonic North America. A department. "In our roadmap for innovative solutions, the new modules are the latest technological evolution, designed with the needs of homeowners and installers in mind."

In addition to the expanded module option kit, through the redesigned EverVolt household battery storage cabinet, homeowners will soon be able to store more energy per square foot, making the system smaller. The new cabinet will be available in June 2021, enabling homeowners to stack more batteries and store more energy in a smaller space.

The improved cabinet will be 29 x 47 x 18 inches-22 square inches smaller than the previous EverVolt battery storage model. EverVolt batteries are compatible with any solar module system or inverter, and can be customized according to the personal needs of the homeowner. In addition to providing AC coupling and DC coupling options, the energy storage system can also be reduced to as low as 11 kWh or expanded to 102 kWh.

The EverVolt energy storage system provides simple one-person installation and can be repaired on site. It also equips homeowners with advanced software and user-friendly applications, allowing customization between multiple operating modes and understanding the status of the system. Battery storage products enjoy a 10-year product and performance warranty.

"The interest in solar energy continues to climb, and more and more homeowners are considering complete energy systems including panels and storage. The events of the past few years have prompted people to seriously consider solar energy as a backup energy source in emergency situations and in daily life. , As a reliable alternative to the power grid," Sethi said.

One of the most important things about Panasonic panels is that the temperature coefficient may be the lowest of any panel currently on the market. Many Chinese monocrystalline solar photovoltaic panels have a relatively high temperature coefficient, and some panels will lose about 15% to 20% of their power generation due to temperature. Due to temperature reasons, Panasonic has about 7% to 9% loss. The overall performance of these panels during their life cycle will be a better overall choice. Yes, you may need to pay $1.50/watt for Panasonic products, but it is expected that after 25 years of use, it will (linearly) decrease to around 92%. When you talk about longevity and reliability, it is better to spend more money on solar photovoltaic panels first, rather than cheaper.
